Happy Teaser Tuesday friends.
As you see by the somewhat vulgar title and picture to the right, I’m reading The Quickieby James Patterson. Wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but absolutely love it. I’ve been thinking all day about what today’s tease would be. There’s so many freaking turns and twists, I don’t know where to start.
Since I don’t want to give too much away, I won’t go too deep into the book.
Pg. 38 “Both shadows stopped moving. Then one dropped. He actually bounced off the ground before he lay completely still. Who was hurt? Who was down? I wondered with a kind of dumbstruck curiosity. Then the scariest question of all occurred to me. One that took my breath away as it nicked through my heart like a cold razor. Who did I want it to be?’
This is the kind of book you wish you could do a teaser for EVERY week! I bet I could get one from each chapter. Hope to finish this within the next day and get my review up! Enjoy!
What are you reading????
It’s Tuesday which means it’s time to head over to Should be Reading and check out some teasers and see what everyone else is reading.
Ok, before I tell you the title, I don’t want you to laugh. I spent a couple of hours in Borders one day looking for books to go with my A to Z Challenge. When I got to Z, I looked forever and could only find one title:
Today’s teaser for Zombie Blondes by Brian James comes from the back of the book. I’m not too far into it and so far haven’t found anything great to tease.
“A lot of houses were for sale and the town seemed infected by an unearthly quiet. And then, on Hannah’s first day of classes she ran into a group of cheerleaders – the most popular girls in school. The odd thing was that they were nearly identical in appearance: blonde, beautiful and deathly pale.”
It’s Tuesday, which means I have another tease for you. I hope you don’t get your panties in a bunch over this one, I am still on Bram Stoker’s Dracula. My interest in it comes and goes and I’m having a hard time getting through it. I REALLY hope to have it does by next time this week, but in the meantime, here’s where I am.
Page216: “The Thing in the coffin writhed; and a hideous blood curdling screech came from the opened red lips. The body shook and quivered and twisted in wild contortions; the sharp white teth champed together til the lips were cut and the mouth was smeared with a crimson foam.”
Hope you enjoy! 😉
To take part in Teaser Tuesday and other fun weekly activities, check out Should Be Reading.
So, yes, I know it’s Wednesday, but better late than never right?
Pg 53: “I turned to run down again towards the vault, where I might find the new entrance; but at the moment there seemed to come a violent puff of wine, and the door to the winding stair blew to with a shock that set the dust from the lintels flying. When I rand to push it open, I found that it was hopelessly fast.”
Take part in Teaser Tuesdayby adding a teaser from the book you are reading.
Since I started getting serious about this blog, I’ve started reading other blogs about books. Many of them post where they got the books they’ve read in the last month. Most of the lists are like this: Bought 5, Library 2, Sent in Mail 10. Where on Earth do you get a book sent in the mail free?
Well, being the book lover I am, I did a little research and found Goodreads.com. It has quickly become one of my favorite sites. You make a profile, add books to your shelf and can even sign up for giveaways. Publishers put a number of books on the site and all you have to do is put your name into the mix and hope it will be drawn from the hat. You don’t even have to promise to do a review for the book, but we all know I will.
So, if you’re looking for some more books, and are doing it on a budget, try out this website. They have books for every genre and you can even find others who like the same books you do! ENJOY
I spent a lot of time tonight looking for other sites with book giveaways, but this one was by far, the best, most organized site.
Do you take part in book giveaways? Are there certain sites you use? Do you search other people’s blogs for books? Let me know!
